Help us keep our students and staff healthy.
Flu and cold season are coming! Please remember that students need to stay home if they have excessive coughing/runny nose/sneezing, a rash that hasn't been cleared by their Dr. or can not be covered,  fever (greater than 101 F), vomiting, and/or diarrhea. They should remain at home until they have been symptom free (without medicine) for 24 hours.
Tips to stay healthy...
Wash hands frequently
Cover mouth when coughing or sneezing
Stay home if you have excessive coughing, sneezing or nasal secretions
Drink plenty of water
Get plenty of rest
Cold vs Flu
Cold                                                           Flu
Gradual onset of symptoms                       Sudden onset of symptoms
Runny/stuffy nose                                      Tend be the same symptoms as a cold but more severe
Cough                                                        Extremely tired
Low grade fever                                         Body aches/headache
Sore throat                                                 Fever/chills
The flu can cause complications that may require hospitalization. Have your child seen by their pediatrician if they are experiencing these symptoms or worrying you.
